About Minute Mentoring
Dana Perino's idea for Minute Mentoring was spurred by the laws of supply and demand—young professional women are hungry for mentoring from professional women, and professional women very much want to share their experiences with them. The problem is there isn't enough time in the day to reach as many young women as we'd like, so Dana though of trying to bring together a group for a fun, fast-paced, advice-packed evening where "mentees" can get the best advice that esteemed professional women have to offer.
Women have come a long way in the workforce, but that doesn't mean we don't still have to overcome hurdles—lots of them. The mentors have broken barriers to be successful, and they're anxious to share their experiences. Our hope is that as Minute Mentoring grows, the mentees and the mentors will learn something from one another and possibily realize a talent or opportunity they may not have recognized before.
